Tryouts

Everything a player or parent needs before day one. This is the page they'll read most, so it's built to answer the nervous questions up front.

When & where

Information coming in January 2027.

Who it's for

Open to all grades. We field a Varsity and a JV team, and players are placed where they'll develop best, not just by age.

How it works

  1. Check in
  2. Small-sided games1v1, 2v2, and scrimmages. You're seen in real game situations.
  3. EvaluationEffort and attitude first, then technique, game sense, and how you compete. Coachability matters here.
  4. Team placementStaff reviews notes and places players on Varsity or JV. You'll be told how and when results go out.

What to bring

Common questions

Can freshmen make Varsity?

Yes. Players are placed on ability and fit, not grade. We've had every class on Varsity.

What if I'm brand new to the program?

You're welcome. Effort and coachability count as much as polish. Come compete.

What if I can't make a tryout day?

Email the head coach ahead of time so the staff knows to watch for you and can arrange a look.

Youth & Middle School

A middle school feeder program is in the works, with a hopeful launch in spring 2027, so players show up to high school already knowing how we train and how we play.

In the works for spring 2027

Who it's for

Middle school players in the Tecumseh community, all experience levels welcome. The goal is development and a love of the game, not cuts.

What it is

High-touch sessions run by the high school staff: ball mastery, small-sided games, and the habits that carry into the varsity program.

Youth Camp 2026

July 13, 14, and 15. More details coming soon.

About the Program

Tecumseh High School girls soccer is the varsity and junior varsity program at Tecumseh High School in Tecumseh, Michigan. We compete in the Southeastern Conference under the MHSAA.

Aerial view of the Tecumseh High School soccer field

The program

We field varsity and junior varsity teams in the spring season. The program is also building a middle school feeder, in the works for a hoped-for spring 2027 launch, giving younger players in the community a path to develop and grow into the high school teams.

Our approach

We value work rate, coachability, and a team-first attitude. Talent is welcome, but effort and a willingness to learn come first. Players are developed and held to a fair, consistent standard on and off the field.

Get involved

Families, fans, and local businesses can support the program through sponsorship and the 12th Player Club. See the Sponsors page for details, or reach out through the Contact page.
